Festival Retail Units enjoy Prime Location in Central London
Rapid Retail’s festival retail units, enjoyed prime position in Trafalgar Square and Green Park, two of London’s most iconic locations, for the festivities surrounding the 3rd stage of the Tour de France which concluded in the capital on 7th July.
Londoners, enjoying the world’s most famous cycle race, which saw its Grand Depart in Leeds two days earlier, witnessed a close-fought second victory for Marcel Kittel. Vincenzo Nibali retained the yellow jersey as the overall leader of the race thus far.
The eye-catching festival retail units, were branded in Tour de France logos and bright yellow colour scheme and were utilised by the organisers to sell both official merchandise and race memorabilia. Busy tills were ensured throughout the week’s fan park events. Cycling fans and enthusiasts, relishing the festival atmosphere that the Tour brings, were able to watch the live race on giant screens and take part in cycling focused activities and demonstrations. Highlights of the race were shown in the evening, with revellers partying will into the night.
Earlier that week, Rapid Retail supplied a retail unit for the official start of the race in Yorkshire. The unit was installed in the centre of Leeds to service the thousands of fans who had descended on the city in celebration of the tour’s first visit to the north of England.
