While Manchester City FC hosts Premier League Champions Chelsea FC today for their inaugural home match this season, we thought we would take a look at the different football retail merchandise units the club has used over the years.

Man City became Rapid Retail’s first football club client back in 2007. During the last 9 years, the club has welcomed new owners, The Abu Dhabi United Group, in 2008. Fans have also seen four different managers in charge, Sven Goran Eriksson, Mark Hughes, Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini. The sale of our football retail units at the club have gone from strength to strength, just like the team’s performance.

The club’s first major on-pitch success came in 2010 when the Blues lifted the FA Cup trophy and qualified for the 2011/12 Champions League for the first time. This was followed in 2012 when City won the Premier League Championship for the first time in 44 years. Two years later, in 2014, Manuel Pellegrini’s side clinched two trophies in one season for the first time since 1970, lifting the Capital One Cup and Premier League title.
