Juke Café, a high-end, purpose built catering unit is ready to serve Gloucester
Juke café, a new, high-end concept purpose built catering unit, opened its doors at the Mill Place Estate in Gloucester earlier this month. Serving a mix of local organic produce, Juke has been providing workers, residents and visitors to the estate with a range of hot and cold sandwiches, freshly brewed coffees and teas, daily specials and home-made soups.
The modern, highly visible and strongly branded coffee shop and sandwich bar outlet, measuring 7m x 3m, has been designed to be entirely self-contained and was installed and provided by Cheltenham-based Rapid Retail, the UK’s leading supplier of flexible shop and retail units.
Built to a high specification and allowing for an autonomous operation, the unit has a high standard of finish to reflect a modern, boutique-style design.
Robert Holley, surveyor at Alder King, leading south west commercial property consultants, who was instrumental in finding the site for Rapid Retail, said: “The entrance to Mill Place Estate is the perfect site for Juke, as they have a location which is surrounded by a number of successful local businesses, as well as having the benefit of appealing to passer’s by”.
Nick Daffern, Rapid Retail’s Managing Director, added: “We are thrilled to be able to showcase one of our food and beverage units in the heart of Gloucester. As a business we are experiencing continued success and our innovative design team is at the forefront of that success. Our units, used at many stadia and events as merchandise and shirt printing shops or as ticket collection and information offices, are not only a low cost and flexible way to secure additional retail space for our clients, they can also be designed and constructed internally to take on any number of uses. The result, we believe, speaks for itself.”
