Rapid Retail has raced to the aid of the Tour de France, supplying energy efficient pop up shops designed to raise awareness and increase sales opportunities, while supporting the Tour’s eco commitment.
The Tour de France is one of the biggest races in the cycling calendar. Running from July 1st-23rd, the 104th Tour de France encompasses 21 stages, which together cover a distance of 3,540 kilometres.
Rapid Retail has supplied three fully branded retail units, which will help promote the event and capture sales in high footfall areas, by offering visitors the opportunity to purchase merchandise and other memorabilia.
One of the units has taken pride of place in Dusseldorf marketplace – where the racers set off on the first stage of their journey – with a further two units located on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
With the Tour dedicated to eco-friendly practices, the solar powered units were a natural solution. They are also highly secure and robust, making them ideal for busy city locations.
Nick Daffern, MD of Rapid Retail, commented: “The Tour de France is an iconic race and we’re delighted to have been asked to provide units for a second time.”
He added: “The flexibility of our portable retail units – which can be any size or specification and are suitable for a range of different uses – makes them a highly affordable way for sporting brands, events and venues to maximise revenue, while getting the brand seen by a wider audience.”
Rapid Retail has been supplying portable units and pop up shops to customers based across the UK and France, for over a decade. This includes supporting the Tour of Britain with custom-built experiential units and working with football, rugby, tennis and motor racing clubs.
Building on its impressive European credentials, in May this year Rapid Retail designed, built and installed four pop up shops for Roland Garros, helping the tennis stadium to maximise revenue and gain the optimum brand exposure. The units were placed at iconic locations across Paris, including the Champs-Elysees, Place de l’Opéra and Paris Gare de Lyon.
