Supporters heading to Stamford Bridge who wish to take part in the newly launched ‘Chelsea 50/50 Draw’, will be able to buy tickets and access the latest draw information, thanks to Rapid Retail.
The matchday lottery is operated by Matchplay and Rapid Retail was delighted to support its introduction by supplying three specially-designed trollies for use in Chelsea’s home ground.
Each trolley is fully branded and mobile, meaning they can be moved smoothly through the stadium. The trollies also offer a unique, additional feature, having been fitted with a special LED screen which will display the running total in real-time.
Supporters who buy a ticket have the chance to win cash prizes, exclusive Chelsea experiences and official merchandise signed by the players. The draw is made at half time and tickets cost £2. Fifty per cent of the money raised goes to the winners, with the remainder going towards good causes supported by the Chelsea Foundation, minus the cost of running the draws.
It is the second time Rapid Retail has worked with Matchplay on a project of this nature. The first saw the delivery of tailored trollies for use at Brentford FC and following their success, there are now more projects in the pipeline.
Nick Daffern, MD of Rapid Retail: “We’re delighted to have provided these portable trollies for Matchplay and to have built on our existing relationship with them.
“The trollies offer a professional platform for sales of the 50/50 tickets, being practical and also highly visible so fans can easily locate them among the crowds. For sports clubs they are a flexible and cost-effective solution. They have many other potential applications including programme and ticket sales, and can be tailored for each individual customer’s needs.”
For over a decade, Rapid Retail has been supporting sports clubs in the UK and across Europe, to provide an outstanding fan experience. From Premier League teams, through to non-league clubs and with units available to suit all budgets and needs.
