The 12th ICC World Cup Final takes place this coming Sunday, with England facing New Zealand at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
The ICC World Cup is a highly anticipated event for cricket fans across the globe, with the first cup being contested in England in 1975. It has since then become a recurring event, taking place once every 4 years.
After England’s triumph over Australia, winning by a total of 8 wickets, they’ve landed themselves in their first ICC World Cup Final in 27 years.
We at Rapid Retail are delighted by England’s success and wish the team the best of luck in the final -but for now, let’s take a look at some RR solutions utilised by Lord’s throughout the year. The first of which being an astonishing 23m bar solution.
This particular solution was comprised of 2 modular sections which, when combined lock into place and offer an extra-large bar solution, entirely capable of handling the large crowds on the busiest of match-days. Its numerous service windows allow for multiple staff to be serving at once, minimizing queue times and keeping visiting fans happy.
Currently living at the entrance to the ground is a walk-in retail merchandising solution, sporting traditional Lord’s branding from head to toe. This solution provides the perfect environment for supporters to pop inside and pick up some club memorabilia from their visit.
As with most RR solutions, this particular shop aims to offer minimal queue times and maximum revenue capacity for our client.
A recent addition to the arsenal of solutions currently on site at the famous home of cricket; our polycarbonate kiosk solutions are utilised in a way that is rather unique. Over the summer, with numerous guests arriving at Lord’s – and even more so with the ICC World Cup taking place – various plastic waste can have a hugely negative effect on the premises.
These kiosks are positioned across the premises to act as redemption points for plastic bottles and cups that are used throughout the summer. With the issues of plastic waste seriously effecting our environment, it not only provides a cleaner venue for visiting guest but on a larger scale, also helps protect our land and oceans from being permanently damaged.
