Rapid Retail is supporting the world-famous French Open to maximise sales and promotional opportunities for a second year running.

The tournament, held at the Roland Garros stadium in Paris, this year runs from 21 May – 10 June 2017. It sees around 430,000 visitors descending on the stadium to watch some of the greatest names in tennis battle it out for the grand slam title.

Rapid Retail has designed, built and installed four pop up shops, which have been placed at iconic locations across Paris, including the Champs-Elysees, Place de l’Opéra and Paris Gare de Lyon.

The fully branded ‘La Boutique’ units are selling a range of branded merchandise, helping Roland Garros to maximise its sales opportunities, while gaining additional exposure.

In place from before the start of the tournament, the units will be operational for a total of three weeks. Electricity for each of the innovative shops is being provided entirely by solar panels, which are located on the roof of each unit.

Commenting on the project, Nick Daffern, MD of Rapid Retail, said: “We’re proud to be working with such a prestigious sporting venue once again. The four pop up shops not only look great and are on brand but are very secure, which is vital – especially when being installed in busy, urban areas.

“Our units are a highly affordable way to add additional retail space. The use of solar panels means they can be used anywhere, making them even more flexible.”

Since 2007, Rapid Retail has been providing kiosks and pop-up shops to sporting venues and retail brands across Europe.

As well as working with Roland Garros, Rapid Retail has six pop up shops permanently in Paris, which provide short term cover for events. The team will also be supporting the upcoming Tour de France and Tour of Britain cycling events.

Rapid Retail works with numerous football and rugby venues across Europe and the UK. Clients range from Premier League, Championship and lower league football clubs, to national and premiership rugby clubs, cricket stadiums and tennis clubs.

Units are available to either rent or buy and can be used for a broad range of functions, from retail or ticketing space, to catering and bar units.
