Retail Shop Units Manufactured and Installed at many Well-Known Sports Venues

With a wonderful British summer of sport barely at an end, measures to ensure a new and successful season of sport are well under way. Having prepared and installed a plethora of new merchandise units, flexible retail shop units and kiosks for many well known sports stadiums and entertainment venues in the UK and abroad, our company, as Britain’s leading supplier of these units, continues to make its mark in the world of sport and event management.

In football, the company has installed a 6 x 2.7m retail unit to QPR, two 6 x 2.7m retail units for, newly promoted to the Premier league, Reading, and has provided Cardiff City, who has extended its contract for four years, with two more units: a 9 x 2m ticket office and three 4m shop units. The units, of steel construction and more usually placed externally, have been installed on the internal concourse of the City of Cardiff stadium, alongside Rapid Retail’s existing programme kiosks, retail units and information booths at the arena. Premier League club Aston Villa have also entered into a long term contract, having recently taken delivery of a new 12 x 3.6m superstore and an 8 x 3m walk-in unit in support of their existing 8m merchandise unit.

Over 10 international, and 40 national, football clubs will be using the company’s fully branded and high quality retail shop units and kiosks during the new football season – Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City, to name but a few, plus top flight European clubs such as FC Barcelona, AC and Inter Milan.

The units are designed to take the pressure off packed club shops, bars and offices, and offer stadium managers an affordable way to obtain more retail floor space, helping them to generate increased retail footfall and buying opportunities.

Continuing along the sporting theme, new units have also been installed at Windsor Park in Belfast, a 6m retail unit for the sports high street retail chain JJC to support their official merchandise sales at the club for the duration of the Northern Ireland football season; at Gloucester Rugby Club, a second 5m bar unit together with an extension of contract for the existing bar unit; the trialling of a new VIP concourse retail unit at Sheffield United; the installation of a 2.7 x 1.5m kiosk for Newnham Council which was previously used as an information kiosk during the Olympics, along with three display kiosks provided by Rapid to the National Basketball League which were utilised during various promotional events in London this summer.

In addition, preparations are under way for the build of new catering units, to be used by Linley Catering, the leading provider of catering services to stadia in the UK, at rugby club Leicester Tigers RFC and at Northampton Town FC, Huddersfield Town FC and Sheffield Wednesday football clubs. Furthermore, Lord’s cricket ground has requested an 11 x 5m retail shop, to be used to support its Academy’s retail plans during the winter months.
