A new pop up shop has touched down at Northampton Saints Franklin’s Gardens stadium, as the rugby club continues to expand and improve its matchday experience for supporters.
The large new merchandising unit, which has been designed, built and installed by Rapid Retail, will provide supporters in the busy fan zone with additional opportunities to access merchandise – helping fans get into the spirit of the day, while alleviating queues and maximising matchday revenues for the club.
Franklin’s Gardens, which has a capacity of just under 15,500, is widely regarded as one of the best stadiums found anywhere in European club rugby. It was the first stadium of its kind to feature a ‘Matchday Village’, providing entertainment and refreshments for the whole family.
The quality of The Saint’s fan experience has been reflected in its average attendance figures, which have reportedly doubled since the Village was introduced over a decade ago.
Saracens RFC are a long term customer of Rapid Retail and have always had a good taste in portable retail shops, with the latest additions being no exception. A lot of thought was put into the design in order to make it compliment the theme of the stadium, featuring a beautiful wood cladding on all four sides of the unit, matching the finish seen on the main building.
